Intro to FileMailer 2

Many email providers have file size limits that you are allowed to send or receive. Most are set to 10 megabytes per email message which includes the attached file. Thus, sharing large files becomes a challenge.

FileMailer is an application developed by the Information Technology Division to address this issue. Designed with ease-of-use as a primary goal, FileMailer provides a quick and easy way to upload files up to 1024 megabytes in size to a secure location and allows easy access via an e-mail link to that file.

FileMailer can be used by CCF caregivers to send large file attachments from the CCF network to email addresses outside of the CCF email system and won't count against your mailbox size limits.

Restrictions / Limitations

No more than 10 files may be sent per FileMailer use.
Sent and requested attachment files are retained on the system for 21 days. You must download files prior to 21 days or they will be purged. Users may delete files prior to the 21 day expiration.
Files are removed from the system after they are downloaded.
